Munnar hill station

  Munnar is a town and hill station in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India" and is a popular honeymoon destination. Munnar rises as three mountain streams merge  - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Murudeshwar Temple

  What the Murudeshwar temple is most famous for is the  massive Shiva statue it houses . Known to be the second-highest statue of Sri Anantadrishti, another name for Lord Shiva, the huge structure can be seen from afar. It is 123 feet tall and was built in over two years Murudeshwara is a temple town in  Bhatkala Taluk, North Canara district in Coastal Karnataka . Located on the main Mangalore- Karwar Highway, And it is sandwiched between the picturesque Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Murudeshwar is a Pilgrimage destination.
