Alappuzha

 

Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It's best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city's Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake's snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

Alappuzha, famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry, is a world renowned backwater tourist destination of India. Kuttanad, Alappuzha backwaters and Alappuzha beach are the must-see tourist attractions in the district.




Winter

November to February: Winters are the best time to visit Allepey as the weather is mild and pleasant. The average temperature during this time is between 17 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius. This is the perfect time to go on a houseboat ride and explore the backwaters of Allepey.


The great thing about Alleppey is how diverse the area is. You'll have historic temples, beautiful beaches, spectacular viewpoints, endless backwaters, delectable dishes, and swaying palm trees (and eveyn palm wine!) to enjoy







The Alappuzha (Alleppey) beach is spectacular. Known as the Venice of East, with the Arabian Sea in the West and a large number of lakes and lagoons crisscrossing it, Alappuzha is one of the most beautiful districts in fascinating Kerala.

Kanyakumari

Munnar hill station

  Munnar is a town and hill station in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India" and is a popular honeymoon destination.
